Is this a proper Salman Rushdie kill on sight type Fatwa? Or simply a mild form of disapproval. Better than nothing I guess. I do note that they want to stop the perpetrators of these various terrorist attrocities from being described as muslim, as a result of issuing this Fatwank.

I hope we are all aware of the status of muslims in India and non-muslims in Pakistan, post partition.
Probably only comparable with Iran and Iraq (Mesopotamia etc) in the 60s and 70s

I suppose it's symbolic and although it doesn't really do fuck all apart from maybe gather some support and consensus in that country, it probably makes them feel at least they've done something.
The most effective group fighting and killing ISIS members right now are Muslim Kurds in northern Iraq.

Fatwas do fuck all it's meaningless, most are ignored. India is a hotbed of Islamic terror as is most of south asia. Hindus and Christians and Sikhs are constantly under threat by Indian Muslims and have been for a very long time.
